RADiUS-TWC has secured its fifth film of the festival, taking North American and French rights to Zachary Heinzerling’s Cutie And The Boxer. Meanwhile Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired North American rights to Andrew Dosunmu’s Mother Of George.

Cutie And The Boxer premiered in the US Documentary Competition strand and traces the 40-year love story between two Japanese artists who met in New York in the 1970s. RADiUS-TWC brokered the deal with Submarine, who cut a Japanese deal last week with King Records.

Parts & Labor’s Mother Of George [pictured] premiered in the US Dramatic Competition and stars Danai Gurira as a Nigerian woman in Brooklyn who is willing to risk everything for her marriage.

Oscilloscope Laboratories negotiated the North American deal with Paradigm.
