Greg Forston has joined Beverly Hills-based Overture Films as senior vice president of theatrical distribution and Lauren Kisilevsky has arrived as vice president of production and acquisitions.

Forston will be based in Overture's Beverly Hills offices and reports to executive vice president of theatrical distribution Kyle Davies.

Kisilevsky arrives from Reese Witherspoon's Type A Films and will report to Robert Kessel, executive vice president of production and acquisitions, New York. She will also report to Sean Furst, executive vice president of production and acquisitions, Beverly Hills, and Bryan Furst, senior vice president of production and acquisitions.

Davies, a former Paramount and DreamWorks executive who recently arrived at Overture himself, plans to make additional staffing announcements in the coming weeks, as does worldwide president of marketing, distribution and new media Peter Adee. The production and acquisitions department has now filled its key positions.

Forston previously served as senior vice president of distribution at both Yari Film Group and Fine Line Features and worked on Vera Drake, Maria Full Of Grace, and The Sea Inside. Prior to that he worked at IFC Films and Palm Pictures.

Kisilevsky managed a slate of projects at Type A including the upcoming IFC/TWC release Penelope. Prior to that she served as director of development for Blue Star Pictures, where she oversaw development and production on such titles as Little Black Book and Darkness Falls.

'With his years of experience in the independent film community, coupled with his relationships in commercial exhibition, Greg's expertise will be an invaluable asset as Overture continues to build its team,' Davies said.

'We have found in Lauren an executive with the taste and vision to shepherd the kind of distinctive and commercial movies that we as a company will be setting out to create. We're pleased to have her as a part of our team,' Sean Furst said.

Overture's nascent slate includes the Charlize Theron-starrer Ferris Wheel, and the Vietnam War drama 105 Degrees And Rising to be directed by Jon Amiel.
