Fortissimo Filmshas secured a slew of territories on Pen-ek Ratanaruang's follow-up to LastLife In The Universe, called Invisible Waves.

The film, whichreunites Pen-ek with his Last Life cinematographer Christopher Doyle andstar Asano Tadanobu, has gone to PalmPictures for North America, France's Wildside, Triangel Films has come in forScandinavian territories, A-Films for Benelux, Prooptiki in Greece andPortugal's Lusomundo.

To commenceshooting on February 20 in Phuket, Thailand and continue in Macau, Hong Kongand Bangkok over an eight-week shoot, Waves also stars Gang Hye Jung andMaria Cordero. A film noir-style psychological thriller, it has been written byLast Life scribe Prabda Yook and costumes will be designed by Japan'sKikuchi Takeo.

Fortissimo isalso producing Waves in associationwith Mingmongkol Sonakul of Dedicate Ltd.Focus Films (part of Andy Lau's group of companies), Miky Lee of CJEntertainment and Faruk Alatan are servingas executive producers on theirfirst Pan-Asian production with this film.

Describing InvisibleWaves, Ratanaruang said: "It shows you who the killer is right from theopening scene. It's not about who themurderer is but why people kill and how they live with and resolve their guilt. The killer becomes as much a victim as theperson he has killed'.a victim of guilt."

Fortissimo is positioning InvisibleWaves for a Spring 2006 release.
