France’s SND has taken world sales on Giuseppe Capotondi’s La Doppia Ora. The film will premiere in the official selection at Venice and screen in the Contemporary World Cinema section of Toronto.

La Doppia Ora (The Double Hour) is produced by Indigo Films’ Francesca Cima and Nicola Giuliano, in conjunction with Medusa. The mystery-thriller stars Ksenya Rappoport and Filippo Timi in a love story that veers off when a tragic accident occurs.

The main characters, Sonia and Guido, meet during a speed-dating round and are on the brink of falling in love when Guido dies suddenly. Sonia’s past comes back to haunt her while she continues, against all logic, to see Guido who may or may not really be there. A series of twists and turns culminate in the answers becoming clearer.

This film is the feature debut from Capotondi, who is best known as a music and commercials director.

Meanwhile, SND told ScreenDaily that production has commenced on Fabienne Berthaud’s Lily Sometimes with Ludivine Sagnier and Diane Kruger. It also is handling world sales on the film produced by Bertrand Faivre’s Le Bureau.
