The third instalment of theWesley Snipes Blade franchise - Blade: Trinity - blasted intolast weekend's Top 15 with over $ 4.3m from 524 screens, followed by MartinScorsese's multi-Oscar nominated The Aviator which grossed over $ 2mfrom 318 prints to enter the chart at No. 2.

Trinity's 512,540 admissions in its first four days wasconsiderably more than the opening performance of the first Blade filmwith 280,000 tickets sold. However, this was not as strong as the second filmwhich chalked up 715,000 admissions.
