Lightning strikes bundle of sales on AFM slate

The Santa Monica-based production and sales company has licensed action title Dead Drop, Liam Hemsworth wartime romance Love And Honor and comedy Struck By Lightning to Pinnacle Films/All Interactive Entertainment for Australia and New Zealand.

Lightning has completed several multi-film deals including one with South Africa’s Ster-Kinekor Home Entertainment for Love And Honor, Struck By Lightning, heist comedy Whole Lotta Sole and family title Heaven’s Door.

Fox Asia has acquired Love And Honor, Whole Lotta Sole and Struck By Lightning, while HBO Europe has picked up Love And Honor and Struck By Lightning for Eastern Europe and YES DBS took the last two titles for Israel.

Eagle Films has picked up Middle Eastern rights to Love And Honor, Struck By Lightning and Heaven’s Door and Horizon International will release Whole Lotta Sole and Heaven’s Door in Turkey.

Key2Media has acquired Heaven’s Door for Spain and M6 Metropole TV has picked up all French-speaking territories. California Filmes has acquired Latin America on Love And Honor, VVS for Canada, Dutch FilmWorks for Benelux, Carmen Films for CIS and Queen for Indonesia.

Lightning’s vp’s of international sales Mathilde Epstein and Alexandra Cocean negotiated all the deals. All titles except Dead Drop will screen at the market.

“It is invigorating to head into AFM with so many deals already in place for our hottest titles including Dead Drop and Love And Honor,” said Lightning president Robert Beaumont. “This is just the beginning as we anticipate a busy market with many more deals to come given our high volume and top quality slate.”
