Former president ofNBC Universal International Frederick Huntsberry has been named Paramount chiefoperating officer.

Paramount chairman Brad Grey made the announcement on Sunday afternoon, addingthat worldwide marketing, distribution and business affairs chief Rob Moore hasadded oversight of Paramount Home Entertainment and Paramount Digital MediaGroup to his remit.

Huntsberry, who will report to Grey, will be responsible for worldwidestrategic planning and operations for the studio including finance, humanresources, industrial relations, lot operations, and the office of the generalcounsel.

As president of NBC Universal International Huntsberry provided strategicdirection for business development growth opportunities, and oversawinternational TV distribution and global networks.

Prior to that he served as executive vice president of NBC Universal TelevisionDistribution, and from 1997-2005 served in a variety of roles withinUniversal's business units including interim president and chief operatingofficer of Universal Pictures and chief financial officer of NBC TV Group.

The resume includes stints asexecutive vice president and chief financialofficer at Vivendi Universal Entertainment, chief financial officer ofUniversal Pictures, and vice president of business development at Universal PayTelevision.

Huntsberry began his career at General Electric as manager of mergers andacquisitions, Europe, and is a graduate of General Electric's financialmanagement programme.
