Stephen Brown, the head of German film rights trader Intertainment's US operations and board member responsible for business development, has been appointed as the vice president and successor to David Williamson who has left the company by mutual agreement. Williamson's responsibility for legal affairs will now be assumed by CEO Barry Baeres.

Brown's promotion is seen as an acknowledgement of Intertainment's focussing its production activities on collaboration with US studios.

Meanwhile, Oliver Kreuter, project manager for format sales at the KirchGroup's BetaFilm, has been named the new head of global distribution at the Neuer Markt-listed rights distributor RTV Family Entertainment.

Kreuter began his international sales career at BetaFilm in 1993 and also assumed responsibility for the sales activities for the Discovery Channel programmes in the German-speaking territories as well as serving as head of programmes at Kirch's digital pay TV platform DF1.
