Dark Angel, James Cameron's first work for TV, Sidney Lumet's 100 Centre Street and Antonia Bird's Care are among 20 international fiction and non-fiction programmes selected this year to compete in the Cologne Conference's television festival.

Also screening in competition is Dutch documentary maker Jeroen Berkven's A Skin To Few. Apart from the competitive sections, the Cologne Conference will also feature a retrospective dedicated to documentary filmmaker Errol Morris, as well as seminars on international programme strategies, the structure of the German television market and the work of the International Emmy Awards.

International TV sales outfits such as Television France International, BBC Worldwide, Saban Entertainment, MGM, Granada and Universal Television will be attending the second Cologne Screenings. The event will be held June 24-27, running parallel to the Cologne Conference and the Media Forum NRW.
