Los Angeles Gay and LesbianFilm Festival OUTFEST ended its 23rd festival on Sunday night withan awards night which saw 15 winners headed up by Tim Kirkman's relationshipdrama Loggerheads which won the juriedprize for OUTstanding American narrative.

Anahi Berneri'sArgentinian AIDS drama A Year Without Love (Un Ano Sin Amor) won OUTstanding International Narrative Feature and SusanKaplan's Three Of Hearts: A Postmodern Family took corresponding documentary honours.

Darian Sills wonOUTstanding Actor in a Feature Film for The Reception, and Amber Benson took best actresshonours for Race You To The Bottom.

In the finalgrand jury award, Georgia Lee won the OUTstanding Screenwriting prize for RedDoors.

In the audienceawards, Lee's Red Doorswon HBO OUTstanding First NarrativeFeature, Sherry Horman's Guys & Balls took OUTstanding Narrative Feature, andNicole Conn's Little Man won OUTstanding Documentary Feature.

Nick Wauters wonOUTstanding Narrative Short Film for Ryan's Life and Christopher Harris and REACH LA collectedOUTstanding Documentary Short Film for This Is How I Love You.

Chris Rael wonOUTstanding Soundtrack award for Queer Realities And Cultural Amnesia.

In the specialprogramming awards, Ilil Alexander won the Freedom Award for Keep Not Silent, Yair Hochner won OUTstanding EmergingTalent for his Israeli rent boy drama Good Boys (Yeladim Tovim), and Jenni Olson picked up OUTstandingArtistic Achievement for The Joy Of Life.

"It is an extraordinary timenow for queer cinema, and we featured an amazing showcase of strong,intelligent, entertaining and diverse films, events, panels and parties,"executive director Stephen Gutwillig said.
