BenjaminHerrmann, managing director of Senator Entertainment's production anddistribution divisions, is leaving the company "by mutual agreement"on April 30 as part of the group's ongoing management restructuring.

Herrmannhad headed up Senator Film Produktion and Senator Film Verleih since 2000 andbeen responsible for such productions as The Miracle Of Bern, TheExperiment, Lammbock and the Oscar-nominatedinternational co-production Merry Christmas.

MarcoWeber, Senator's new board member responsible for production and distribution,announced that the two divisions will be operated separately in future withtheir own managing directors.

Managementof the distribution arm Senator Film Verleih will be assumed by distributionveteran Peter Heinzemann, currently at 3L Filmverleih, from May 1, while anappointment to head the production arm will be announced shortly.

Earlierthis month, Senator's two major shareholders Cologne media lawyer Helge Sasseand US-based producer Weber of HSW GmbH had been appointed to the executiveboard, with Sasse assuming the post of CEO for the producer-distributor, whileChristopher Borgmann had been named Chief Operating Officer.
