Thailand 's Five Star Entertainment has sold action title Muay Thai Chaiya to France 's Wild Side Films, Germany 's EMS and Brazil 's Global Media Holdings, among other territories.
Five Star has now sold the film to more than 30 territories since it had its world premiere at the closing film of this year's Bangkok International Film Festival in July.
The film was released last week in Malaysia by Grand Brilliance and Cathay will open it next week in Singapore.
Directed by Kongkiat Komesiri, the film features an antique form of Thai kickboxing and follows three small-town friends who battle their way to become top Muay Thai Chaiya fighters.
Kongkiat, who directed Art Of The Devil 2 and co-wrote Ong Bak, is considered an up-and-coming talent in Thailand.
