NBR members will screen more than 250 films for awards consideration this year and will announced the honourees on Dec 5.
The NBR recently awarded $55,000 in student grants to nine universities in the New York area including Brooklyn College, City College, Columbia University, and New York University.
Each participating school received a total of $6,000, which was distributed to the top student films as well as the $1,000 prize for the Charlie Andrews Award for film history, which was presented to a Wesleyan Student.
