The 15th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) has announced 27 selections for the Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP) including projects from Tsai Ming Liang, Oxide Pang, Xie Fei, Choi Dong-hoon and Anocha Suwhichakornpong.

Ogigami Naoko (Glasses) will be mentoring students at PIFF’s Asian Film Academy (AFA) and screening her feature film Toilet in the festival, as well as presenting her new project Suika and Kinoko at PPP. The film will tell the story of two French girls who are obsessed with Japanese manga and later decide to do a road trip across Europe to Japan.

Three beneficiaries from PIFF’s Asian Cinema Fund (ACF) Script Development Fund this year will also be in the PPP. With an aim to further support up-and-coming directors PPP has selected from the ACF directors Mostofa Sarwar Farooki from Bangladesh, Yolkin Tuichiev from Uzbekistan and Charlotte Lim Lay Kuen.

Held at the Seacloud Hotel on Haeundae Beach along with the Asian Film Market, PPP 2010 will run Oct 10-13, during the 15th PIFF Oct 7-15.
