Ahead of next week’s Cannes Marche, Global Screen has picked up Nick - Off Duty (working title) for international sales.

The action thriller stars Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds) as a tough cop in a race against the time to save his teenage daughter from the Russian mafia.

The film will be directed by Christian Alvart (Pandorum) and will feature a chase that tracks from Hamburg via Istanbul to Moscow.

It is produced by Syrreal Entertainment and Barefoot Films in coproduction with Warner Bros. and NDR. Principal shooting will start in July for delivery early 2016.
