Todd Olsson heads the venture and arrives in Cannes with Queen Freak and When Angels Sing on the inaugural sales slate.

Queen Freak tells of a dysfunctional family and stars Matthew Modine, Kristin Chenoweth, Joey King, Shirley Jones and newcomer Olesya Rulin in the lead. Benjamin Epps directed and Adam Saunders and Chris Aronoff produced through Footprint Features in association with The Bedford Falls Company.

When Angels Sing is a Christmas family film produced by Elizabeth Avellán from the Spy Kids franchise alongside Fred Miller and Shannon McIntosh. The cast includes Harry Connick Jr, Connie Britton, Chandler Canterbury, Fionnula Flanagan, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Lyle Lovett. Tim McCanlies directed from a script based on the Turk Pipkin novel of the same name. 

Both titles will screen at the market. “We have two really phenomenal films coming out of the gate,” said vp of feature films Olsson, who joined last year and will attend the market with director of international Joey Sabella.
