Lisa Gutberlet has been promoted to vice-president of distribution at Myriad Pictures.

Gutberlet will travel to Toronto next week to discuss Myriad’s slate with buyers, which features a new trailer for the financial thriller Margin Call with Kevin Spacey and Jeremy Irons, Simon Wincer’s completed adventure The Cup, and Jacob Tierney’s thriller Good Neighbourswith Jay Baruchel and Scott Speedman that gets its world premiere in Toronto on September 14.

Gutberlet previously served as executive director at the Santa Monica-based financing, sales and production company and arrive from The Weinstein Company’s business affairs department in 2005.

“Lisa is a very committed and proactive sales executive, with excellent client relationships and a great deal of enthusiasm for her work,” Myriad president and CEO Kirk D’Amico, to whom Gutberlet will report, said. “She has extensive experience in the international arena and has proven herself on the sales front for us.”

Gutberlet worked in sales for Turner Broadcasting in Paris and Frankfurt before moving to Los Angeles.
