Columbia Pictures has signed a three-year co-financing, production and distribution deal with Brian Oliver’s company.

In addition to distributing Cross Creek films on a global basis, Sony Pictures and Cross Creek will have the opportunity to co-finance certain films, originating in either pipeline. 

Cross Creek previously had a deal with Universal Pictures, which is currently in release with the adventure Everest.

The worldwide smash Black Swan was made at 20th Century Fox with Tom Rothman, who now serves as chairman of the Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group.

Cross Creek is in post on Pride And Prejudice And Zombies starring Lily James, Sam Riley and Bella Heathcote, which Sony-owned Screen Gems will release in the US on February 19, 2016.

It is also in post on Doug Liman’s Mena starring Tom Cruise, which will go out in January 2017 via Universal.

The company is currently shooting Hacksaw Ridge starring Andrew Garfield in Australia.
