Cargo starts talks on Shattered Hand
Thomas Jane is set to make his feature directorial debut on A Magnificent Death From A Shattered Hand and will star alongside Nick Nolte, Jeremy Irons. Cargo Entertainment has commenced talks with buyers at AFM and Paradigm arranged financing and represents North American rights.
Geyer Kosinski, Dean Bornstein and James Ordonez are producing for the project’s financier Tayrona Films.
The thriller follows a former soldier’s quest for redemption in the Wild West as he struggles to clear his name. Production is scheduled to begin in 2013 in Utah.
“My intention is for the movie to utilise themes that characterise the classic Western films – their exploration of rugged individualism versus civic duty, of personal valour versus the violence of pre-civil worlds – to create a film that works on the level of rousing entertainment,” said Jane.
“We are thrilled to be working with Thomas Jane on this project,” said Cargo CEO Marina Grasic. “This action packed thriller will attract audiences worldwide”.
