Universal issued a press release on Wednesday [8] saying it was rescheduling Jurassic Park 4, which had originally been set for release on Jun 13, 2014.

The statement read: “In coordination with filmmakers, Universal has decided to release Jurassic Park 4 at a later date giving the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version of the fourth instalment in Universal’s beloved franchise.

“We could not be more excited about the vision that Colin Trevorrow has created for this film, and we look forward to watching as he and the producers create another great chapter in this franchise’s storied history.”

Separately, Warner Bros is moving up The Hangover Part III by one day to Thursday May 23 to get an early start on Memorial Day Weekend. The move means the studio will be able to run late shows on Wednesday May 22.

Lionsgate announced that the genre film Ghosts has been renamed Jessabelle. The US release date remains Jan 10, 2014.
