Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) has acquired from IM Global distribution rights to German-speaking Europe, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Italy, Australia and New Zealand, Latin America and South Africa.

CBS Films acquired US rights following a buyers screening in Los Angeles last week. Alliance Films, IM Global’s partner in the Automatik joint venture, will distribute in the UK, Canada and Spain.

The deal was negotiated on behalf of SPWA by evp of business affairs Michael Helfand and svp of acquisitions Joe Matukewicz with IM Global’s president of international sales and distribution Jonathan Deckter.

Derek Lee and Clif Prowse co-directed Ends Of The Earth, which Telefilm Canada backed. Chris Ferguson and Zach Lipovsky produced and IM Global chief Stuart Ford served as executive producer with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Charles Layton.
