SundanceNOW has licensed Emad Burnat and Guy Davidi’s 5 Broken Cameras for its subscriber video-on-demand service Doc Club.

Burnat made the headlines earlier this week after he and his family were detained at LAX upon arrival in the US ahead of Sunday’s Academy Awards show. He and his family were released shortly after and allowed to enter the US.

5 Broken Cameras is nominated for best documentary and Burnat is the first Palestinian documentary film-maker to be nominated for an Oscar.

The film will be available to Doc Club subscribers starting on Mar 1 as part of the Unforgettable month and will also be available transactionally for SundanceNOW members.
