Jan De Bont to remake crime drama Five Minutes To Live
The director has teamed up with Joseph and Jack Nasser, executive producers on the Sundance Premieres entry For A Good Time, Call…, to remake the 1961 Johnny Cash film Five Minutes To Live.
Raul Inglis wrote the script about two men who take a bank manager’s wife hostage and tell the manager she will die in five minutes unless the bank transfers funds into their accounts. Casting is underway.
Nasser Entertainment/Nasser Group North is financing Five Minutes To Live and Paradigm Motion Picture Finance Group is packaging the project and represents North American rights.
De Bont’s credits include Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life and The Haunting.
