Film Independent and FOX | HBCU Media Alliance will present producer Nekisa Cooper with the inaugural Fox Film Grant.

The grant stems from the multi-year partnership created with Fox’s media and entertainment businesses in association with the Historically Black Colleges And Universities.

Cooper, a 2009 Project Involve Fellow, will receive a $10,000 production grant from FHMA for her feature film Bolo, a Southern crime thriller about a Memphis police detective who investigates a murder in her community.
