Northern Soul tells of two young British friends in the 1970s who instigate a dance crazed when they introduce American soul to the Lancashire clubs of industrial North-West England.

Constantine wrote the screenplay and her feature directorial debut recreates the legendary Wigan Casino as one of the locales, while the soundtrack includes standards from the era.

The cast includes Antonia Thomas, Jack Gordon, James Lance, Christian McKay, Ricky Tomlinson, Ashley Taylor-Dawson and John Thomson.

Editing is underway at Rain Studios in London and the producers have earmarked a summer 2013 release.
