Herrick [pictured] has come on board to produce Peter Berg’s action tale, which Mark Damon’s Foresight Unlimited introduced to international buyers in Cannes.

Mark Wahlberg, Eric Bana, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch and Taylor Kitsch are currently filming the rescue story in New Mexico.

Lone Survivor is based on Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10 by Marcus Luttrell. Berg adapted the screenplay.

Herrick recently produced Wahlberg and Denzel Washington in 2 Guns. He joins an extensive producer roll call that includes Berg, Wahlberg, Sarah Aubrey, Randall Emmett, Steven Levinson, Akiva Goldsman and Barry Spikings.
