Panorama Media will introduce a heavy-hitter to the Cannes market after the sales, production and financing company announced on Friday [Mar 1] it had come on board the red-hot Pride, Prejudice And Zombies.

Panorama will produce alongside Darko Entertainment, Natalie Portman’s Handsomecharlie Films and Allison Shearmur and will also finance. Head of international sales Kimberly Fox will commence pre-sales at the Cannes market.

CAA brokered the deal on behalf of the film-makers and represents North American rights. David O Russell adapted the screenplay from Seth Grahame-Smith’s international bestseller. The project is out to directors.

Darko Entertainment’s Sean McKittrick will serve as producer alongside Portman and Annette Savitch of Handsomecharlie and Shearmur of Allison Shearmur Productions.

Darko’s Edward H Hamm Jr, Aleen Keshishian and Panorama president Marc Butan are the executive producers.
