Constantin Film announced that the romantic adventure had begun production on Wednesday [13] in Pompeii. The shoot will move to Toronto on Mar 28. Summit International pre-sold rights to the Canada-Germany co-production in Cannes 2011 and Summit Entertainment will distribute in the US.

Paul WS Anderson directs the Constantin Film and Impact Pictures (Pompeii) Inc production from a screenplay by Lee Batchler, Janet Scott Batchler, Michael Robert Johnson and Julian Fellowes.
Anderson produces alongside his Impact Pictures producing partner Jeremy Bolt. The pair previously collaborated with Constantin and Summit International on the Resident Evil franchise.
Robert Kulzer produces for Constantin Film with Don Carmody. Martin Moszkowicz serves as executive producer on Pompeii.
