Chaske Spencer has signed on to one of the lead roles in Brian Ward’s Indian Summer.
He will play Wez, a Native American US Marine.
Spencer is best known for appearing in the Twilight franchise.
The story is about an orphaned boy living with his uncle and aunt, who meets an exotic stranger (Wez). The story is set on a remote farm in the Scottish Highlands in 1967.
ARRI Worldsales is handling world sales (excluding UK and Ireland) for the film.
It will shoot in 2013 for completion in spring 2014. Ashley Jensen and Kevin McKidd are already attached.
Ward’s writing credits include The Interpreter directed by Sydney Pollack.
