Revered Austrian auteur Ulrich Seidl’s new feature doc Old Ist Gold is among the projects being presented at CPH: Forum, the coproduction event at CPH Dox in Copenhagen this week.

The film, which is produced and sold by Philippe Bober through Coproduction Office, is completing financing.

It is in pre-production and is expected to be ready for February 2014. Bober has confirmed that some deals have already been done with broadcasters for the project, among them TG4, TVP1, Cezka Televisie, HBO Central Europe, Film Europe and RUV.

Treading similar turf to Seidl’s Paradise: Love (which screened in Cannes), The film portrays the lives and daily routines of young Kenyan men who earn their living with white female sex tourists mostly from Austria, Germany and Switzerland - but also from other western countries.

Paradise: Hope, the third part of Seidl’s Paradise Trilogy, is expected to premiere at the Berlinale in February.

The Austrian director will be in Copenhagen next week to pitch Old Ist Gold.
