Actor Josh Radnor finishes shoot for directorial debut

Actor Josh Radnor has finished principal photography on his feature film directorial debut, HappyThankYouMorePlease.

Radnor plays the lead character, Ted, on hit US TV comedy How I Met Your Mother. He wrote the screenplay and also co-stars with Malin Akerman, Kate Mara, Zoe Kazan, Pablo Schreiber, Tony Hale and Richard Jenkins.

The story follows six New Yorkers dealing with love and friendship while not quite ready to grow up.

Producers are Jesse Hara of Tom Sawyer Entertainment and Benji Kohn, Austin Stark and Chris Papavasiliou of Paper Street Films. Executive producers are Glenn Williamson, Peter Sterling and Bingo Gubelmann.

“Josh Radnor has crafted a story that is incredibly funny and poignant at the same time,” said Hara. “We feel honored to bring such a fresh and original voice to the screen.”

Radnor is repped by Rhonda Price at Gersh.
