EXCLUSIVE: Ecosse Films is producing the story of a werewolf in a British seaside town.

UK sales outfit WestEnd Films has added Love Bite, a teen horror-comedy to be directed by BAFTA-winning Andy de Emmony (West is West), to its Cannes slate.

Love Bite, currently in pre-production, starts shooting in September in Wales and is produced by Robert Bernstein, Douglas Rae and Paul Ritchie of Ecosse Films. Mark Woolley of Ecosse will exec produce. WestEnd are financing the film and handling worldwide sales. The film is written by Ronan Blaney and Cris Cole.

School is out and the holidays have begun in the gloomy seaside town of Rainmouth. Forced to work at his pot-head mother’s B&B and to hear about his four horny friends’ sexploits, 18-year-old Jamie is desperate to escape. That is until he meets Juliana, a mysterious and beautiful American traveler. But there’s a more sinister newcomer in town: a werewolf preying on virgins - andRainmouth becomes a hunting ground.

WestEnd is also representing Joseph Cedar’s Footnote in competition here in Cannes.
