Tribeca Film has acquired North American rights to Jinga Films’ Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel & the 420 Witch.

The teen comedy horror from Twilight producer Mark Morgan stars Lara Flynn Boyle (Men in Black II), Molly Quinn (Castle), Michael Welch (The Twilight Saga), Cary Elwes (Saw) and Yancy Butler (Kick-Ass).

Re-titling to Hansel And Gretel Get Baked for its home territory, Tribeca will release on all platforms starting with a VOD preview on Feb 19 followed by a theatrical release across the key US cities.

Meanwhile, MG Distribution has acquired all rights to the film for former Yugoslavia and will release theatrically later in 2013.

Black Forest will screen at the EFM before receiving its international premiere at a soon to be announced European film festival in April.
