Producers representativePage Ostrow has closed an international distribution deal for Bernard Murray'steen comedy The Surfer King withLos Angeles-based MarVista Entertainment.
MarVista will handle international theatrical, television and video distributionon the story, which stars Lindsay Wagner, Randy Wayne, Ben Ziff, Alan Thicke,and Cerina Vincent.
The Surfer King charts the exploits of a 17-year-old who secures a summer jobat an amusement park near his new Colorado home and helps colleagues bid for anemployee trophy.
Murray wrote and directed the feature, and produced with Robbie Repola, JoeAdams and Ostrow. Mark Raymonds and Brian Reichel served as executiveproducers.
"We're thrilled MarVista is on board to distribute this funny teen gem and lookforward to bringing this film to audiences everywhere," Ostrow said.
The Ostrow and Company founder and president has arranged financing andnegotiated distribution for more than 125 features and documentaries.
MarVista's home entertainment label is set to launch in September with aline-up that includes comedy Running With The Hitman starring Mercedes Ruehl, and Absolute Zero, which stars Jeff Fahey and Erika Eleniak.
