PalmPictures and Arthouse Films have acquired worldwide distribution rights toCharles Atlas's The Legend Of Leigh Bowery and plan a New York releaseon Nov 21 with DVD and video to follow in 2004.

Thedeal was negotiated for Palm Pictures and Arthouse Films by David Koh, head ofacquisitions and production, and Jose Martinez Jr' general manager of Arthouse.

LucySexton represented Charles Atlas and Atlas Films and Lori Seid of One CanvasProductions on behalf of Rosie O'Donnell.

The Legend Of Leigh Bowery is a frank documentary portrait of the Londonfashion designer and 1980s gay icon, who currently appears as a character inO'Donnell's Broadway production of Taboo starring pop star Boy George.

"Atlasperfectly captures an era and icon and shows us how Bowery's influence is stillfelt today," Koh said in a statement.

PalmPictures current releases include Olivier Assayas' acclaimed techno thriller Demonloverand Claude Berri's romantic comedy The Housekeeper, while upcomingreleases feature Claude Chabrol's thriller Flower Of Evil and TianZhuangzhuang's prize-winning drama Springtime In A Small Town.
