Brad Grey's Paramountrevolution continues apace with news that Alli Shearmur has been promoted toco-president of production at the studio.

Shearmur, formerly executivevice president of production, will oversee day-to-day development andproduction of the slate as well as literary acquisitions, and will report toincoming Paramount president Gail Berman, who officially starts in May.

As executive vice presidentof production Shearmur (nee Brecker) developed titles like The Bad NewsBears, which is scheduled to open onJul 22, and Failure To Launch,which will soon begin principal photography.

Prior to Paramount sheserved as executive vice president of production for Universal Picturesoverseeing the American Pietrilogy, Erin Brockovich, and theBourne franchise, among others.Before Universal she was vice president of production for Walt Disney Picturesfrom 1994 to 1997.

Meanwhile Paramount chairmanand chief executive officer Grey is in talks with the studio's outgoingco-president Tom Jacobson about moving into an independent producing deal onthe lot. It is uncertain if or when a replacement will be announced.

Karen Rosenfelt, who hasserved since 2002 as co-president of production, is leaving to pursue otherinterests. She joined the studio in 1990 and her credits include LemonySnicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
