Fox International's animatedfeature Robots pipped Hitch to the post as the number one international title of the weekend as it grossed an estimated $17.1m on 5,179 screens in 41 territories to raise its early international running total to $44.2m.

The picture opened top in Australia on $1.9m on 387 screens (the figure may have included paid previews however this was not confirmed at time of writing), and third in Italy on $1.1m on 508.

Elsewhere, Robots opened top in Argentina on $335,000 on 114, and secured top three berths in Belgium and Holland on $501,000 on 123 and $450,000on 171 respectively.

The picture added $2.9m on482 for $9.3m in is second weekend in the UK after an impressive 1% drop, whileSpain climbed 28% after expanding by only three screens to 425 on $2.4m for $5mafter the same amount of time.

In other second weekendhighlights, Robots added $1.5mfor $4.8m in Germany, and $1.1m for $2.1m in Brazil. Mexico yielded $1m for$7.2m after three weekends,

Norway stayed top in itssecond weekend on $183,000 on 108 for a running total of more than $680,000,while Russia added $650,000 on 271 for $1.7m after the same amount of time.

The thriller Hide AndSeek opened top in Indonesia on$741,000 on 24 and has amassed $49m through all its markets to date.

Sony Pictures ReleasingInternational's romantic comedy Hitch grossed an estimated $16.6m on 5,000 prints in 54 territories for a$125m international running total.

The picture, which passed$100m on Mar 21, stayed top in its third weekend in the UK on $3m on 700 for$21.2m, and maintained its number one status in Germany for the fourth weekendin a row on $2.9m on 869 for $26.7m.

Hitch opened top in New Zealand on $430,000 on 62 andranked second in France in its second weekend on $2.7m on 560 prints for an$8.4m running total.

Warner Bros PicturesInternational's comedy sequel Miss Congeniality 2: Armed And Fabulous launched day-and-date with the US in severalterritories, grossing an estimated $10.5m on 2,100 screens.

Highlights include $2.5m debut in381 UK theatres for third place, $1.9m in 296 Australian theatres for second place, $1.8m including previews at 616 German sites for second place, and $1.2m including previews on 244 Spanish screens, also for second place.

The supernatural thriller Constantineadded $5.1m for a $108.2m internationalrunning total.

DreamWorks International'shorror sequel The Ring 2 grossedan estimated $6.3m in 20 territories from 967 sites through UIP, raising itsearly international running total to $9.2m.

The highlight was a firstplace debut in Brazil on $1.1m in 203 venues, while Australia opened third on$1.6m in 172 sites.

Mexico stayed top in itssecond weekend on $1.2m in 325 sites for $4.1m. The picture opened in 19territories next weekend including the UK, France, and Spain.

Meet The Fockers added $3m from 2,445 locations in 56 territories forto $225.1m.

Universal's BridgetJones: The Edge Of Reason passed theoriginal's final international total at the weekend as it reached $211.7mthrough all distributors ($196.1m through UIP) compared to $210.3m for BridgetJones's Diary.

The picture added $1.2m in276 sites in Japan in its second weekend for a $5.2m running total there.

In other releases, Boogeymanhas reached $5.1m, Assault OnPrecinct 13 stands at $1.2m inSpain, and Ray has amassed $41m.

Buena Vista International opened The Pacifier in fifth place in Australia on $822,000 for an early $1.6m international running total. Pooh's Heffalump Movie added $2.2m for $14.4m, while National Treasure stayed top in Japan and added $2.7m from all active markets for a $160.7m international cumulative total.
