Pulitzer Prize winning film critic Roger Ebert will receive a special ShoWest Career Achievement In Film Journalism Award in Las Vegas on April 2.

Ebert began his career as a film critic in 1967, writing for The Chicago Sun-Times. In 1976 he teamed with Gene Siskel of the Chicago Tribune to begin co-hosting a weekly film review television show that was ultimately known as Siskel & Ebert At The Movies and ran until Siskel's death in 1999.

After a rotation of co-hosts Richard Roeper became the permanent co-host in 2000 and At the Movies with Ebert & Roeper remained on air until 2007.

Ebert has also been the critic for WLS/ABC in Chicago from 1983-2003 and co-hosted the Academy Awards live pre-show on ABC for many years. He continues to write movie reviews for the Chicago Sun-Times and he is the most visited film critic on the internet.
