Former eBaypresident Jeff Skoll's Los Angeles-based production company ParticipantProductions has named Meredith Blake senior vice president of corporate andcommunity affairs.

Blake, whopreviously served as chief executive officer of the domestic violence nonprofitorganisation Break The Cycle, will help define the company's social sectoraction campaigns around the company's projects.

"Integral to ourmandate to make socially relevant, commercially viable feature films anddocumentaries about important social issues is our commitment to findingexciting and innovative ways to enable audiences to make a difference," Skollsaid in a statement.

"Meredith Blake's experience as a social entrepreneur willenable her to implement action campaigns by selecting non-profit, corporate andmedia partners who will enable audience members to get involved in the issuesraised in Participant's films."

Participant iscurrently co-producing with Warner Bros the political thriller Syriana, written and directed by Stephen Gaghanand starring George Clooney and Matt Damon.

Other projects include UntitledNiki Caro Project, which starsCharlize Theron; American Gunstarring Donald Sutherland, Forest Whitaker and Marcia Gay Harden; GoodNight. And Good Luck directed by andstarring George Clooney; and documentary The World According To SesameStreet.
