German media mogul Herbert Kloiber is reportedly readying a digital pay-TV channel to go on air this summer.

Tentatively titled TM-TV, the service is expected to screen action, adventure and science fiction genres. According to German press reports, Kloiber is planning the service with ex-TM3 managing director Jochen Krohne.

The operation would form part of Kloiber's ambition of becoming a third force in German private broadcasting alongside Kirch and Bertelsmann. This latest venture comes less than a year after Kloiber, Germany's second most important licence trader after Kirch, sold his 34% stake in TM 3 to Rupert Murdoch.
