THINKFilmhas acquired all North American rights from Element Films to David Jacobson'scontemporary western Down In The Valley starring Edward Norton and Evan Rachel Wood.

THINKFilmplans a spring release for the San Fernando Valley-set story of a young girlwho falls for a charismatic stranger who is not all he appears to be.

Thepicture, which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes last year, alsostars David Morse, Rory Culkin and Bruce Dern. Norton's Class 5 Films producedin partnership with Holly Wiersma and Element's Adam Rosenfelt.

"THINK'senthusiasm for this film has been unequivocal from the first time they saw it,"Norton said. "They're a very daring company and have a great knack forcommunicating with audiences about challenging films."

Thedistributor's executive vice president of acquisitions and business affairsRandy Manis negotiated the deal with Element Films chief operating officer MarcSchaberg.

THINKFilm is taking theBeastie Boys musical Awesome; I Fuckin' Shot That to Sundance and will open the picture on Mar 31.Other upcoming releases include the Hungarian foreign language submission Fateless.
