Truly Indie has picked up US rights to Terry Sanders' documentary Fighting For Life, which focuses on the work of military doctors in Iraq.

Sanders tracks the careers of students at Uniformed Services University, the de facto West Point of military medicine, as well as a veteran who strives to deal with the loss of her leg in combat.

Sanders produced the Sanders & Mock/American Film Foundation project, and Tammy Alvarez served as executive producer. Truly Indie has scheduled a March 2008 release.

Truly Indie executive director Kelly Sanders and head of business and legal affairs Jason Janego brokered the deal with Sanders.

'Sanders explores a side of the war that has been overlooked for too long with compassion and vigour,' Kelly Sanders said. 'Fighting For Life is a moving testament to courage and the power of the human spirit.'
