Glen Basner has bolstered the international ranks at The WeinsteinCompany (TWC), announcing three promotions and a new hire.

Michael Rothstein has been promoted to senior vice president of internationalsales and distribution; Paula Woods has been promoted to senior vice presidentof international publicity; and Jonathan Kier moves up to vice president ofinternational distribution and sales.

Suzanne Noble has joined as vice president of internationalpublicity.

Rothstein is based in New York and will continue to work on all internationalfilm sales of TWC and Dimension titles.He will look to develop new business opportunities and maintain existingstrategic alliances with independent distributors and will also represent TWCat all major international film markets, trade shows and festivals.

Kier is based in New York and will carry out his existing dutiesas liaison between TWC and international distributors. Rothstein and Kier bothreport to WTC international president Basner.

Woods is based in London and has served as head of international publicityfor the past year. She will continue to spearhead international publicitycampaigns and will be involved with the company's BAFTA campaigns, festivalsand strategic initiatives.

Reporting to Basner, Woods will work closely with New York-basedDani Weinstein and Los Angeles-based Liz Biber - both senior vice presidentsof publicity - and Los Angeles-based executive director of internationalpublicity Jill DiRaffael.

Noble is also based in London and will work closely with Woods andDiRaffaele on all international publicity and BAFTA campaigns. Noble and DiRaffaele report to Woods.

Rothstein joined TWC from Miramax on Oct 1 2005 as vice presidentof international sales and distribution. He began his career at Miramax in 1997as a coordinator working under Rick Sands, then chairman of worldwidedistribution.

Kier joined TWC in 2005 as director of international distribution.He previously worked in the affiliate sales strategy group at MTV Networks andat Universal-based Marc Platt Productions.

Prior to transitioning to TWC Woods served as director of internationalpublicity at Miramax from January 2004 to September 2005, and before that sheworked at BVI UK and London-based agency Foresight.

For the past seven years Noble has served as head of publicity forIcon Film Distribution, where she managed UK domestic campaigns for WhatWomen Want, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Passion Of The Christ, 21 Grams and Match Point, among others. She began her publicitycareer at Dennis Davidson Associates in 1994.
