First LookInternational has ramped up its sales team ahead of Cannes with the hiring of MoniqueWhite as vice president of international sales and Susan Hewitt as Europeantelevision sales consultant.

Both will reportdirectly to First Look International co-heads Liz Mackiewicz, the senior vicepresident of worldwide sales and distribution, and Dina Vangelisti, thecompany's senior vice president of television sales.

White'sresponsibilities will include all rights - theatrical, video and television -in selective European territories and the Middle East, while Hewitt will focuson television sales in major European territories.

White mostrecently served as president of Clearly Consulting/Distribution where sheoversaw independent feature film and television sales, acquisition consulting,co-producing and acquisitions for international distribution.

Prior to thatshe spent the bulk of her 10-plus years in the industry working ininternational sales, serving as manager of international distribution at

GRBEntertainment and key executive roles in other companies.

Hewitt headed up the international sales and new businessdepartment at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation from 1986 to 2002 and wenton to launch a sales consultancy with her husband, representing broadcastersand producers for programme sales and co-productions in Europe.

First LookInternational's slate includes Reverge Anselmo's drama Stateside starring Rachael Leigh Cook, JonathanTucker and Val Kilmer; Christian Johnston's 9/11 thriller September Tapes starring George Calil and Wali Razaki;John Irvin's comedy musical The Boys And Girl From County Clare starring Bernard Hill, Colm Meaney andAndrea Corr; and Charles Martin Smith's survival drama The Snow Walker, which stars Barry Pepper and AnnabellaPiugattuk.
