Berlinproduction house X-Filme creative pool has set up an in-house world salesdivision to handle the international distribution of Dani Levy's box office hitGo For Zucker - An Unorthodox Comedy (Alles auf Zucker!).

PreviouslyX-Filme's titles have been handled on a deal-by-deal basis by Bavaria FilmInternational and Beta Cinema, amongst others.

X-FilmeWorld Sales has been specifically set up to handle Zucker, but thedivision is to be an ongoing concern and will handle in-house sales when theproject dictates.

Accordingto X-Filme's head of business and legal affairs Andro Steinborn, Zucker,a Jewish family comedy, has already been sold to Italy's Ladyfilm and Israel'sOrlando. The film is playing in theGerman Cinema sidebar at the Berlinale.

Steinbornand producer Stefan Arndt will assume responsibility for negotiating saleswhile Bruno Niederpruem will coordinate the delivery of materials.

Releasedby X-Filme's distribution armX Verleih on January 6, the film has now been seenby over 400,000 cinemagoers in Germany. It was initially planned as a TV moviebut the TV screening has now been pushed back by TV co-producer WDR due itsstrong theatrical performance.

X Filme was launched in 1994 by Arndt, Becker, Levy and TomTykwer and has been responsible for such hits as Good Bye Lenin, Agnes AndHis Brothers and Learning To Lie.
