Deborah Zipser is returning to Australia from LA to become an investment manager in the Sydney headquarters of the Film Finance Corporation (FFC).

For the last four years she has worked as a lawyer at The Motion Picture Bond Company, most recently as head of business and legal affairs.

She joins the FFC at a time when the new chief executive, Brian Rosen, is intent on using Australian taxpayers' money to leverage other finance into Australian films and co-productions.

The role involves negotiating financing proposals with producers for feature films and television drama, presenting investment proposals to the FFC board, and liaising with the production industry on investment issues.

Zipser replaces Terry Jennings.
