Danish mini-major Angel Films, which covers production, distribution, international sales and a facility house, has sealed an output deal with local production outfit Peter Bech Film.

Angel will handle Nordic distribution on Peter Bech's slate but has not decided whether it will also handle international sales. The two companies previously worked together on Tomas Gislason's Like A Rock which is currently in post-production.

"Angel has so many interesting projects happening and we want to be part of it," said Peter Bech. "Our deal will give us continuing investment".

Angel, which purchased rights for Lars von Trier's Cannes contender Dancer In The Dark as one of its first ventures in 1998, owns production outfits Angel Production and Angel Arena, distribution outlets Angel Distribution and Angel Scandinavia, Angel Facilities and DVD manufacturing plant DVD Scandinavia.

Meanwhile, Bech is presently closing deals on two new Danish features, both to be directed by Jesper W. Nielsen. The Bouncer is written by the director, backed by national broadcaster DR and scheduled to start shooting in October while Okay is written by Kim Fupz Aakeson (The One and Only) and will start shooting in April 2001.
