Continuing its push into high-end scripted programming, Apple has ordered See, a sci-fi drama series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
The series, expected to run for an initial eight episodes, will be produced by the scripted drama joint venture formed last year by Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.
The venture is already developing thriller series Are You Sleeping for Apple.
Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games series) will direct See, which is described as a future-set world-building drama, and will serve as executive producer alongside Knight with Chernin Entertainment’s Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.
The Knight series joins a slate of scripted shows at Apple that already includes a Jennifer Aniston/Reese Witherspoon dramedy, a reboot of anthology show Amazing Stories from Steven Spielberg, and a space drama from Ronald D Moore.
