In its third weekend on release Shark Tale was top ofthe pops at the box office with a gross of A$1,707,044 from 289 screens forUIP. Despite having spent only 18 days in cinemas, its total gross of nearlyA$12m is second only to that of TheBourne Supremacy's A$15m, which has taken seven weeks. No other film hasbeen in the chart as long as this and over the four days it took A$311,609,enabling it to claim the tenth spot.
Yet another UIP film, Wimbledon,was the second most popular of the weekend. It took A$1,147,868 from 249screens in its second outing but snapping at its heels was Anacondas: The Hunt For The. The Columbia TriStar opener took A$1,072,503 from 152 screens to claimthird place.
