The top film in the charts, Stuck On You from 20th Century Fox, took A$1,606,200 from 192 screens in its first weekend. That was over $400,000 more in ticket sales than second placed, Under The Tuscan Sun, but being on 110 screens it was not so accessible to audiences. The BVI film had the most impressive screen average of the weekend at A$10,849.

Columbia TriStar's Big Fish, which opened last weekend, was pushed off the top spot by this pair of films. In fourth place is Roadshow's Something's Gotta Give, which is in its sixth week in the charts and continues to hold its head up very well. UIP's Along Came Polly rounded out the top five.

Two other openers are in the top 20, namely Open Range, which took A$237,237 from a conservative 94 screens to come in fifteenth, and House Of Sand And Fog, which claimed the next spot with a gross of A$201,746 from a limited 40-screen release. Both are distributed by Roadshow.

UIP's Love Actually is the only film that moved up the chart. In its eighth weekend on release it took A$405,992, which was nearly A$100,000 more than seven days ago, despite losing 34 screens. With a total gross of nearly A$18m it's blockbuster status is indisputable.

Columbia's Mona Lisa Smile screened in previews only this weekend.
